How to create a recurring social media schedule in Engage+ Content Marketing

This article shows you how to create and set up recurring content schedules that automatically publish posts on a set timeline. You’ll learn how to build a consistent posting schedule, apply publishing rules, and simplify your content management to save time and keep your audience engaged.

Create a recurring schedule

Follow these steps to create a recurring posting schedule:

Go to the Set Recurring Schedules page.

Select the ‘Create Schedule’ button.

Choose a schedule type: Weekly or Drip. For this example, we’ll choose Weekly.

• Weekly Schedule: Post content consistently on a weekly basis (example: "Wednesday Wisdom").
• Drip Schedule: Drip the same content out over an extended period. Great for recycling evergreen content.

Configure your recurring schedule.

• Give it a title.
• Specify the timezone.
• Choose your timeslots (these determine when content will post).

Select the ‘Create Schedule’ button.

Add content to your new schedule by auto-fill, creating new content, or using existing content. For this example, we’ll use the auto-fill option to include AgencyBloc’s monthly content.

When using auto-fill, make sure the ‘Auto Fill this Queue’ checkbox is marked on.

Use content tags to target specific content.

• Example: Use the ‘May’ tag to pull in AgencyBloc’s May content.
• Use the ‘Medicare’ tag to pull in Medicare-related content.
• Combine tags to fine-tune your schedule’s content.

Select the social accounts you want to publish to.

Select the ‘Save Settings’ button to finish.

After you create a recurring schedule, it will appear on the Set Recurring Schedules page.

From here, you can:

• Toggle the schedule on or off using the switch next to it.
• Select the ‘three-dot’ icon in the upper-right corner of the schedule to open a menu with more options.

Available options include:

• Edit: Change the schedule's name, update the posting times and days, or add more times.
• Auto-Fill: Use tags to automatically fill the schedule with matching content.
• Reorder Queue: Drag and drop posts to change the order in which they’ll be published.
• Shuffle Queue: Randomly reorders all posts in the schedule’s publishing queue.
• Delete: Turns off and permanently removes the schedule from Engage+ Content Marketing.
