Overview
Newsletters are long-form content designed to be shared with your clients and prospects by email. If you find a newsletter you'd like to send, you can send it through the Email Marketing feature in AMS+. This lets you take advantage of AMS+'s tracking and analytics tools to see how your newsletter performs.

Tips and best practices
How to add soft returns to your email newsletters
In Step 7 of the How to Send a Newsletter instructions, you're asked to review and customize your newsletter using the email editor in AMS+. This step is important for aligning your message with your agency’s branding, tone, and voice.
When editing your newsletter, you may notice that some sections use different kinds of spacing between paragraphs. Specifically:
- Hard returns are used to separate different ideas.
- Soft returns are used to group related thoughts more closely (such as in a signature line).
These differences may seem small, but spacing plays a key role in the appearance, presentation, and readability of your newsletter.
If the paragraph spacing looks off as you’re reviewing the email text, use the following keyboard shortcuts to adjust it:
-
Hard return: Press the ‘Enter’ or ‘Return’ key on your keyboard.
-
Soft return: Hold down the ‘Shift’ key and then press ‘Enter’ or ‘Return’.
