Overview
Newsletters are long-form content designed to be shared with your clients and prospects by email. If you find a newsletter you'd like to send, you can send it through the Email Marketing feature in AMS+. This lets you take advantage of AMS+'s tracking and analytics tools to see how your newsletter performs.

You can locate newsletters in the following areas:

Preview a newsletter in Engage+ Content Marketing
The newsletter view in Engage+ Content Marketing is a preview, not an editor. You can’t make changes to the newsletter in this view.
To edit the newsletter:
- Follow these instructions to send it to AMS+.
- Then customize it using the email editor.
Access additional details
- Select the Help tab to view additional information about the newsletter.
- Check the summary panel on the right for audience details and other key data.
Send a newsletter through AMS+
Follow these steps to customize and send a newsletter.
1. Select a newsletter
Select a newsletter from one of the following:
- Engage+ Home
- Collections
- Content Type: Newsletter
- Topic areas (for example: "Medicare", "Group Business", "Everyday Living")
2. Select recipient type (if prompted)
When the newsletter opens, a Select Newsletter Recipients pop-up window may appear.
Recipient type defines the category of contacts who will receive the email (for example: "Individuals", "Primary Contacts", "Agents").
If only one recipient type is available:
- It is automatically applied.
- The option is not shown.
If multiple recipient types are available:
- The pop-up appears.
- Select a recipient type to continue.
You can also update this selection using the Recipient Type dropdown in the right-hand summary panel.
3. Continue to sender settings
Select the Continue button.
A pop-up window will prompt you to select sender information.
- From Name: The name shown in the "From" field
- Reply To: The email address that receives replies
4. Edit the newsletter in AMS+
A new tab opens in AMS+ with the newsletter loaded in the email editor.
Review the email content, and make any necessary personalizations. See the Enhanced Email Editor article for more information.
To add a signature:
- Go to Rows > Signature Templates.
- Add a signature row.
- Customize it with your agency's:
- Business information
- Branding

5. Save, test, and schedule
Save and/or test the email. When ready, follow Steps 12–17 in this article to:
- Create the recipient list
- Schedule the campaign
Tips and best practices
Adjust spacing using hard and soft returns
Spacing directly impacts the readability and visual structure of the email. During Step 4 (editing in AMS+), review formatting carefully to ensure consistency with your agency's branding, tone, and readability standards.
Use the following keyboard shortcuts to adjust spacing:

Hard return: Used to separate distinct ideas.
- Press "Enter" or "Return"
- Press "Enter" or "Return"

Soft return: Used to group closely related content (for example, within a signature).
- Hold "Shift" and press "Enter" or "Return"
- Hold "Shift" and press "Enter" or "Return"
